Good Friday Services

On Good Friday, the main liturgical service is the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion. There is no Mass celebrated on Good Friday, and no weddings or funerals are permitted. Extra-liturgical services such as Stations of the Cross and communal prater services are observed in some parishes. Good Friday is a day of fast (less food, no snacks!) and abstinence (no meat!).
At Saint Matthew Parish, we will celebrate the Liturgy of the Lord's passion at 3 PM and again at 7 PM. This liturgy includes the reading of the Passion of the Gospel of John, veneration of the cross, and holy communion.
All are welcome, of course!
