Day by Day Through Lent: Day Thirty-six
"Let us follow him to Jerusalem, to die with him there..."
- Thomas the Apostle
The celebration of Palm Sunday opens Holy Week with the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, hailed as king by the excited crowds. Like the disciples, we follow Jesus as we begin the observances that will come at the end of this week. Unlike them, we know where Jesus will lead us: to the cross, to the tomb, and finally, to the glory of the resurrection!
This afternoon, beginning at 4:00, come to the church to experience "A Walk through Holy Week," an interactive prayer time that allows you to experience the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the events of this week. There is no formal beginning or end of the prayer. Simply come to the church at any time between 4:00 and 7:00, pick up a printed guide, and take the Holy Week walk at your own pace.
