With Jesus in the desert ...

Of the 150 psalms found in the Old Testament, seven are known as “penitential psalms." These psalms are prayers expressing remorse and asking forgiveness for personal sins. The best-known of the penitential psalms is Psalm 51, which is used often during the season Lent as a prayer and a responsorial psalm at Mass.

Each Friday during Lent, this daily message will include a musical reflection of one of the penitential psalms. (Last Friday the reflection was Psalm 51). This week’s reflection is the first of the penitential psalms, Psalm 6. Click on the icon below to listen to and pray Psalm 6.
