Most folks are aware, I think, that the ashes for Ash Wednesday, which is coming up on February 22nd, come from burning the dried palms that were given out last Palm Sunday. Many people have these palms in their homes as “decorations” or as part of a display of a crucifix or other religious image. Please bring to church next weekend any old palms you might have so that these can be burned for ashes
